Our total was high considering the quality was low.I work fast food on a college campus, and we often get many late-night customers (students) who stand in line, order, and then: You have to leave the restaurant to utilize a restroom. It's more like a limited menu Applebbes meets Ponderosa. This is definitely not on the same level as Chop House or Ruth's Chris. We didn't even consider ordering dessert. The potatoes were warm on the outside, and had a good flavor, but were cold inside. The asparagus was thick but undercooked and cold. They must have a chef that really likes salt and pepper. I can't really blame the slowness on the lack of employees. A table full of Gun Lake Casino employees received prompt service.

Maybe they had a cup shortage? It felt intrusive and rushed. The bar backs were whisking away cups as soon as it appeared that you were done with your drink. It's pretty hard to screw up water- but they did. The water was served lukewarm in a carafe without ice. The bread tasted like a pop-open can of Pillsbury. If you are dining with someone with a shellfish allergy, I would go elsewhere. The pasta entree was a mushroom fettucini that could not be custom ordered (add chicken, etc.). The chicken entree was a variation of a cassoulet. There wasn't a single appetizer that we wanted to experience. We were seated in a booth very close to another table-we could have all played tic-tac-toe together. The high ceilings and lack of sound dampers make the noise level almost unbearable. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a sports bar. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait a while to be seated. We choose the Casino and Restaurant to celebrate our anniversary.
